Reviews
I was a bit hesitant ordering for catering from Raaz because of the mixed reviews. I'm so glad I did! The food was a big hit for our party. Especially the Butter Chicken, (by far the best we've tried around the area), veg hakka noodles, and the bhindi masala. I'm not sure why the some reviews are negative because the food quality was really good, nothing was too greasy or overcooked and it tasted fresh. We are definitely going to be ordering from Raaz in the future for catering. I want to thank the chef, kitchen staff and the person (I believe his name was Raj) who handles the catering for accommodating our order on such short notice since it was very last minute. But they also were able to let us pick up the food earlier, before the restaurant was open. Highly recommend this place for catering your next event!
A pretty good Indian restaurant that is good to go to if you want to relax after a hard day of work. They offer a lot of vegetarian and meat options to satisfy a lot of my Indian co-workers when we want to hang out. Foodwise the entrees here are tasty and filling. Stated before they have a lot of options to chose from and have a lot of vegetarians options. The biryani here is good and spicy. The naan can be fluffy and the chicken is tender. No complaints about the food and the pricing is reasonable for a financial district restaurant. Inside its quite modern and clean. It gives this restaurant an upscale feel and you can even get a look inside the kitchen from their glass window. Though modern feeling you will notice some old Indian decor around the restaurant as well. My biggest complaint here is probably the wait times you have to go through to get food. It can be busy but generally not packed so I wouldn't expect food to come out in 30-40 minutes, which is what I have experienced here in the past with co-workers. The service though is quite friendly and they do accommodate you so I am unsure if its because the staff are unorganized or if its just the food takes a while to prepare but it is still a little annoying. Overall this restaurant is still a good choice to go after a day of work. I have not had their drinks yet but I look forward to that experience in the future.
A group of us came here for lunch during a work day. Totally love the layout of this restaurant and the super cleanliness. It's perfect to have delicious Indian food buffet style with class. No reservation is required, but it can be busy during noon considering they are located in middle of the financial district and literally a 5 minute walk from Newport Mall. They had lots of choices of curry to choose from such as aloo and chicken - my favorite. Not too spicy but seriously tasted yummy and mild in case you are heading back to that office to continue working. Their dhal was tasty and sauté with the right spice. Please have some with a spoonful offresh basmati rice. I also fancy their tandoori chicken served with fresh onions. The chicken meat was juicy and sauté perfectly. I'm also a sucker for their naan served freshly at our table. Their naan was soft while you bite into it and super crispy from the outside. Great place for lunch and the price is reasonable. Do enjoy!!
Got saag chicken and chicken soup to go. Service is fast and the restaurant manager is polite. Food is a bit on the expensive side but quality is great so it's worth the price. Entree comes with rice. Soup was not runny and had the right amount of spices. This is my usual go to place for Indian food now
